This is will be my last St. Vincent post for awhile. Due to my schedule and upcoming events, I won't have the time to dedicate to a monthly project. But I have loved working with St. Vincent and will always stay in touch with this wonderful organization and all the special people I've come to know. Thank you St. Vincent for such a great experience!
This month, I am craving fall and cool weather, so I decided to use some good old Pottery Barn inspiration and make a cozy sweater pillow (as shown here):
There's nothing better than falling asleep a soft pillow during these hot summer days.
I picked up a funky pillow at St. Vincent and found a comfy grey sweater in the women's clothing department.
Here is the funky pink pillow... hmm...
The cozy sweater
I started off by cutting the sweater down to the size of the pillow, making sure to leave an extra inch on each side.
Then I used the sewing machine to stitch three edges, leaving the fourth open for a whip-stitch.
The finished pillow
Isn't it darling?! It makes me want to curl up on the couch and snuggle up with a good book.
