Can you believe this is the last weekend before Christmas?! I think we have all of our shopping done and can just sit back and enjoy this pre-holiday weekend. What are you up to?
Today, I wanted to share a fun and inexpensive way to make your own rug... I came up with the idea a couple of months ago when my mom and I were in the fabric store. I had found two yards of unique Moroccan fabric that was very heavy, and as I admired the textile, I thought, I wish I had a rug like this... and then I got to thinking, why not just go ahead and try it? So I picked up the fabric for about $8.00 and three months later, finally got around to working on it.
I had purchased a few rug pads at the thrift store months ago and cut out a piece about 1/4 inch less than my "rug" measured.
It's not quite done without the border, but I love how it adds an extra dimension to my living room layered over our larger neutral rug. I'll let you know when I have a chance to add the border lining, until then, have a Happy Weekend!
