I started this blog in 2010 as a way to document our Phoenix homes’ remodel and share some of my favorite ways to decorate on a budget. As an interior designer, I am constantly working on the design of our home, and still love to share our updates. However, the blog changed direction when my husband and I welcomed our son in January 2013. Everything was different, and we felt pulled toward a new course and direction.
These are the years that I get to stay home with my son and start creating a life full of wonder, learning and creating. I grew up with the idea that we are all connected through community, and I would like my child to experience the fullness of character that comes along with working hard, digging in the dirt and growing your own food. That is encouraged by singing aloud every day, taking mud baths in the backyard, eating whole foods and rejoicing in the company of good friends.
We are creating a life and home based on a tight knit community, gatherings, urban homesteading and the Grace of God. We hope you will stay awhile and say hello.
